What is car bingo?
Instead of listening for called numbers, players watch for things outside the vehicle. A completed horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of five items is bingo. The format works for short drives, long road trips, and family holidays.
Examples from the board
- Vehicles: truck, motorcycle, police car, emergency response vehicle
- Road features: bridge, railroad crossing, roadwork, rest area
- Landscape: hill, watercourse, park, campsite, windmill
- Roadside sights: wildlife sign, billboard, livestock, roadside diner
Ways to play in the car
Share one link for a fair race on matching boards, or put one phone where the passengers can use it as a team. For a longer game, require a full line. For a short journey, set a time limit and count marked squares when time runs out.
The game includes nine languages and multiple color themes, so the person setting up the board can choose what suits the group before sharing it.
No paper cards to lose
The standard game is free and works as a web page. You do not need to print cards, create accounts, or install an app. A previously opened board stores progress in that device's browser.
One link. Same board. No accounts.
Open Roadtrip Bingo in your browser and share the journey with everyone in the car.
